Townships and rural areas are filled with unmet needs. Despite this,
local entrepreneurs and communities are solving these problems for themselves.
We see ourselves as a part of a catalyst, a bolt in the cog, that seeks to make visible unment needs,
rudimentary innovations and the need to create access to information for these communities.
We are a dynamic team that has been fully invested in the township and rural markets since 2012. During this period, we have directly distributed our own products into this market, worked with companies that wanted to established routes to market and technology startups
This means we have developed deep insight into the landscape, understand how it is evolving and are working with companies to develop solutions to some of the problems which seem intractable, for now.

2015
The mission of Last Mile for Bop is to improve access to affordable products and services in
townships and rural communities. We did this by creating eCommerce solution app
for independent retailers and wholesalers in Africa to
connect to informal businesses such as hair salons and spaza shops.
2017
Pargo is South Africa’s leading click-and-collect solution with
the highest rated delivery service in Africa. True to their tagline of SHOP ONLINE. COLLECT ANYWHERE,
ours was the first attempt to develop collection points in townships.
2018
TooMuchWifi is an amazing story of our attempts to reduce the cost of data, for real. Then, 1 mbs connection was exciting for a person in the township. For us,
this was a problem to be solved.
We pioneered the playbook on building community relationships for entering new markets, employing from communities and giving back.
We are intentional in democratizing access to knowledge for
businesses in our chosen market by providing digital solutions that formalise their existence.
